Can I just say just how AMAZING both actresses were in that scene? It ripped my heart out, but the chemistry and the talent those two have together blew my mind more than the actual pain of watching what was happening.
While I’m not sure some of the things they said were completely ‘in character’ for them, regardless, the power and pain and emotion Sara Ramirez and Jessica Capshaw brought to our televisions tonight was something pretty special.
They acted the hell out of those scenes. Every single one of them.
And for that, thick or thin, pain or happiness, THEY are the reason why I love this show. THEY are the reason I tune in each week. Their abilities far exceed everything that is written for them, in every circumstance, and that is rare and special and a gift they give to all of us.
So, for Sara and Jessica, here’s to them. They were both amazing, and absolutely the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen either of them tonight.
We are fans because of what the actors bring to their characters, they make them real for us, they give us all a face on television in one way or another, when so often we aren’t given a face of our own, and as sad as my heart is right now, it also swells with pride for those two and what they gave to their performances tonight.
I’m proud to be a fan of Callie and Arizona. Even more so tonight. And as goofy as it sounds, I’m pretty damn proud of them too.
Amazing, amazing job.
Oh, and thank GOD we know they’re MFEO. Geesh.
